PackshotCreator software detected as a trojan downloader / virus?

19. Why do some antivirus software detect parts of PackshotCreator software as a trojan downloader / virus?

Situation: 
Yesterday a customer reported that they got a notice from their security software ‘Comodo’ regarding a trojan detection on the endpoint.

Below file was detected as trojware.js.trojandownloader.agent.tdk@488561265 
C:\Program Files\Ortery\Capture\data\HTMLAnimationV1\HTML5\lib\HTML5Viewer.js


Solution: 
It’s a misjudgment by the anti-virus software. PackshotCreator software has some parts of our javascript (js) code that are compressed and encoded so they cannot be copied. Because these program files are encoded, some anti-virus software programs will consider them as ‘unfriendly’ files.

Possible solution:
  1. Have the customer mark the file as ‘safe’ in the anti-virus software.
